NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Saint John's swimming and diving won 11 of the 15 events en route to a 195-105 dual win at St. Olaf on Saturday, Nov. 6, in Northfield.
The Johnnies recorded 28 top-three finishes.
SJU claimed the top three times in the 50-yard freestyle, led by freshman
Liam Noble (Plymouth, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's) in 22.03. Noble also won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.65.
Freshman
Carter Larson (Sartell, Minn./Sartell-St. Stephen), the reigning MIAC Men's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week, touched the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.96).
Junior
Joe Koller (Savage, Minn./Shakopee) won the 100-yard backstroke (54.64) and took second (2:06.74), behind junior
Ethan Huber (Mitchell, S.D.), in the 200-yard individual medley (2:04.69).
Three other Johnnies earned individual swimming wins Saturday night:

Dylan Fleischhacker (Greenwald, Minn./Melrose Area) in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.38);
-Sophomore
Alex Heer (St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall) in the 200-yard backstroke (2:03.93);
-Sophomore
Brogan O'Donnel (Rosemount, Minn.) in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:22.56).
Juniors
Jack Grabinski (Sauk Rapids, Minn./Rice) and
Christian Pfau (Williston, N.D.) claimed first (446.90) and third (329.50), respectively, in the 1-meter dive.
SJU's 200-yard freestyle relay (1:27.97;
Steven Froehle, Larson, Noble,
Spencer Atkinson) and 200-yard medley relay (1:39.81; Koller, Fleischhacker,
Jack Mehus, Huber) placed first.
The Johnnies return in two weeks for a neutral-site dual against Wisconsin-Eau Claire at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at St. Catherine in St. Paul.
