A LOOK AT THE JOHNNIES: Concordia scored a pair of late goals to defeat Saint John's (4-4-1, 1-2-0 MIAC) 2-1 on a warm (89 degrees) and windy (south at 18 MPH) Tuesday (Sept. 28) in Moorhead. Telvin Vah tied the game for Concordia late in the 72nd minute and scored the game-winning goal with 1:26 remaining.

DÉJÀ VU: Tuesday's goal was déjà vu to Anderson's first collegiate goal, which was 3:39 into SJU's 1-0 win on Sept. 18, 2019, at Concordia.
A LOOK AT THE AUGGIES: Augsburg (9-0, 4-0 MIAC) remained undefeated with a 1-0, double-overtime win at No. 22 Carleton on Tuesday (Sept. 28). Freshman Tomas Piza-Gonzalez scored his first game-winning goal with 2:54 left in the second OT. Carleton posted statistical advantages in shots (19-12, 5-2 in overtime) and corner kicks (11-1, 4-0 in overtime). The win snapped Carleton's 27-game unbeaten streak (21-0-6) on its home field. The Auggies, who have allowed a total of three goals through nine games this fall and shut out their last six opponents, were ranked No. 4 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Region IX poll released prior to Sept. 28's game. Junior forward Kobby Owu set up Piza-Gonzalez's goal and leads the team in goals (7) and points (16). He is followed by sophomore forward Helio De La Torre (5g/2a) and Piza-Gonzalez (3g/4a). Freshman goalkeeper Oscar Herrera has all nine wins and 34 saves in net.
TWO YEARS AGO: Augsburg dealt SJU a 4-2 setback the last time these two teams met on Oct. 16, 2019, in Minneapolis.
The Auggies built a 4-0 lead until SJU scored a pair of milestone goals in the game's final 10 minutes. Forward Ben Becker '20 erased the shutout with his seventh goal of the season, and 15th of his career, on a rebound off a corner kick in the 80th minute.
Forward Kagan Foster '20 ended the scoring with his team-leading eighth goal of the season, and 10th of his career, with 3:57 remaining.
Daniel Hedstrom scored first for the Auggies in the 19th minute and Lionel Vang made it 2-0 with the first of his three goals on the night in the 41st minute. Vang added to his total in the 68th minute and completed the hat trick on a penalty kick with 11:58 to play.
Goalkeeper Nicholas French '20 made three saves in the loss as Augsburg held a slight edge in shots, 18-17 (7-5 on goal).
SERIES HISTORY: The Johnnies are 33-7-4 against the Auggies since 1978, including a 17-2-2 record in Collegeville. SJU out-scored Augsburg by a 64-9 margin during that span on its home pitch. The Johnnies won 26 consecutive in the series from 1981-2005.
