NORTHFIELD, Minn. - No. 7 Saint John's basketball shot 52.9 percent (27-for-51) from the field and went 31-for-36 from the free-throw line in a 91-75 win at St. Olaf on Monday, Jan. 6, in Northfield.
The win was the 11th in a row for SJU (11-1, 7-0 MIAC), which climbed four spots to No. 7 in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 poll released earlier this evening.
The Johnnies went 23-for-26 from the free-throw line in the second half, including 10-for-11 over the game's final 1:38, and led by double digits for the last 27:55.
All five SJU starters scored in double figures, led by senior wing
Jubie Alade's (Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) 18. He was a perfect 9-for-9 from the charity stripe and passed Luke Witt '02 (1,093), Kevin Buth '03 (1,099) and John Wiehoff '84 (1,106) into 24th on SJU's all-time scoring list with 1,108 career points.
SJU built a 41-28 halftime lead thanks to a 53.6-percent (15-for-28) shooting performance, compared to the Oles' 29.6 percent (8-for-27). STO (6-5, 3-3 MIAC) went nearly six minutes (5:58) without a point as SJU went on a 13-0 run to build a 26-13 lead.

Nate Albers led all scorers with 20 points and Troy Diggins Jr. added 18 points and a game-high seven rebounds for STO. The Oles shot 54.1 percent (20-for-37) in the second half and finished at 43.8 percent (28-for-64) for the game.
The Johnnies travel to face No. 5 St. Thomas for a 1 p.m. tip-off this Saturday, Jan. 11, in St. Paul. UST, which hosts STO Wednesday night, survived with a 92-83 overtime win tonight at Hamline, thanks to sophomore guard Anders Nelson's career-high 42 points.
