COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's swimming and diving, aided by sweeps of both diving events, earned a 140-93 dual win over St. Olaf on Friday, Jan. 24, in Collegeville.

Freshman Jack Grabinski (Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice) won both the 1- (266.85) and 3-meter (263.60) dives. He edged out classmate Connor Reed (Elk River, Minn.), who took second in both events, in the 1-meter dive (264.75). Freshman Connor Pfau (Williston, N.D.) was the other Johnnie point-getter in the dives with a pair of third-place finishes.

Junior Mitchell Dockendorf (St. Stephen, Minn./Sartell-St. Stephen) and freshman Dylan Fleischhacker (Greenwald, Minn./Melrose Area) went 1-(2:17.51)-2 (2:22.79) in the 200-yard breaststroke, while Dockendorf also placed second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:07.12).

Sophomore Steven Froehle (DuPont, Wash./Steilacoom) and freshman Beau Brinkman (Wayzata, Minn.) touched the wall first (49.71) and second (49.88), respectively, in the 100-yard freestyle. Brinkman also took second in the 50-yard freestyle (22.46), while classmate Ethan Lemke (Moorhead, Minn.) finished second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:54.26) and senior Ryan Pauley (Columbus, Neb.) claimed second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:08.22).

Freshman Ethan Huber (Mitchell, S.D.) took second in both the 200- (1:50.59) and 500-yard (5:12.00) freestyles.

Junior Mick Olson (Fullerton, Calif./Troy) returned to competition after studying abroad during fall semester and placed second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:07.65).

The Johnnies' 400-yard freestyle relay (Froehle, Olson, Brinkman, Huber) claimed first (3:19.70) and the 400-yard medley relay (Joe Koller, Dockendorf, Ryan Pauley, Tim Belov) took second (3:40.04).

SJU hosts Gustavus Adolphus for a 1 p.m. dual on Saturday, Jan. 25, in the Warner Palaestra Pool.
