ST. PETER, Minn. - No. 13 Saint John's basketball extended its win streak to seven games with a 66-52 victory at Gustavus Adolphus on Wednesday, Dec. 11, in St. Peter.
The Johnnies (7-1, 5-0 MIAC) overcame a 37.5-percent night (24-for-64) from the floor, 11 percent below their season average (48.4 percent), by out-rebounding the Gusties (2-5, 2-2 MIAC) 47-29. SJU scored 18 points off 21 offensive rebounds on the night.
Senior wing
Jubie Alade (Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) led all scorers with 19 points, which enabled him to climb past Kipp Christianson '97 and Steve Ward '75 into 34th on SJU's all-time scoring list with 1,043 career points.
SJU jumped out to a 19-6 lead, led 35-23 at the half and by double digits for the game's final 23:29.

Lucas Walford (Elko, Minn./New Prague) totaled 14 points and 15 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season and 20th of his career.

Zach Hanson (New Prague, Minn.) added a double-double of his own - 14 points and 11 rebounds - his first of the season and second of his career.

Oakley Baker (New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva) was the other Johnnie in double figures with 10 points, all of which came in the first half, and tied his career high with eight rebounds.
Logan Rezac and Peter Lundquist led GAC, which shot 30.4 percent (17-for-56) from the field, with 11 points apiece.
The Johnnies travel to the Pacific Northwest for a pair of non-conference games next weekend in Oregon. SJU opens the trip against Linfield at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, and ends the fall portion of its 2019-20 schedule against Willamette at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21.
