Another Record for Erdmann
Senior quarterback
Jackson Erdmann (Rosemount, Minn.) finished 17 of 32 passing for 308 yards and five touchdowns. The performance was his seventh 300-yard passing game of the season and 11th of his career, which broke his tie with Alex Kofoed (2004-07) for the most in SJU history. Erdmann now has seven games of 5 passing touchdowns or more in his career.
Mohr Yardage
Sophomore wide receiver
Matt Mohr (Chisago City, Minn./Chisago Lakes) recorded his second 100-yard receiving game of the season with 108 yards on three catches. He opened the scoring for SJU with a 66-yard touchdown 3:19 into the game. The 108 yards matched his first 100-yard performance, which was an identical 108 yards on three receptions Oct. 26 at St. Olaf.
Two Trost TD's
Sophomore running back
Henry Trost (Lindstrom, Minn./Chisago Lakes) found the end zone twice in the game and now leads the Johnnies with 12 touchdowns this season. He scored on an 11-yard carry with 7:42 remaining in the opening quarter and caught Erdmann's fifth and final touchdown of the day from seven yards out with 5:51 left in the third quarter. Trost finished with 70 total yards on eight touches (six carries and two catches) and has scored a rushing touchdown in each of his last five games, for a total of seven during that span.
Two for T.J., Too
Sophomore wide receiver
T.J. Hodge (Miami, Fla./Doral Academy) finished with six receptions for 62 yards and two touchdowns. Erdmann found him for an 11-yard touchdown with 23 seconds remaining in the first half and again on third-and-10 for a 30-yard touchdown on the Johnnies' first drive of the second half. Hodge ended the regular season tied with classmate
Ravi Alston (Lake Elsinore, Calif./Vista Murrieta) for the team lead in catches (52) and finished second in receiving yards (749) and touchdowns (5).
Pick-Six
Sophomore cornerback
Tommy Deters (Maple Plain, Minn./Orono) made sure his first collegiate interception made an impact in the box score as he ended the scoring for SJU with a 26-yard pick-six with 4:20 left in the third quarter. The interception return for a touchdown was the second in as many games for SJU, thanks to senior cornerback
Chris Harris' (Lake Elsinore, Calif.) 100-yard pick-six last Saturday (Nov. 9) at Hamline. Harris squashed an RHIT threat form SJU's 25-yard line with his team-leading sixth interception of the season with under a minute to play in the second half.
Senior linebacker
James Inman (Bismarck, N.D./Shiloh Christian) tallied his first interception of the season on the Fightin' Engineers' (6-4, 5-2 HCAC) opening drive of the second half and senior safety
Sam McNamara (Goodhue, Minn.) posted his first collegiate interception on the next drive.
