MIAC Release
COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's University senior quarterback
Jackson Erdmann (Rosemount, Minn.) was named Saint John's University's Scheels Athlete of the Week on Monday, Oct. 21.
He also earned his third MIAC Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season, and seventh of his career, earlier today (Oct. 21).
Erdmann completed passes to nine different receivers and ended the day 32 of 47 passing for 451 yards and three touchdowns in the fourth-ranked Johnnies' 38-20 win last Saturday (Oct. 19) over then-No. 11/13 St. Thomas at Allianz Field in St. Paul.
The 32 completions were a career high and tied for the second-most by a Johnnie in school history, while the 451 passing yards were the second-most in SJU history (second to his 470 yards in SJU's 40-20 win over UST last fall). Saturday's passing yardage was nearly identical in the two halves (223 in the first, 228 in the second) and Erdmann was 27 of 39 (.692) for 378 yards and two touchdowns after the first quarter.
He is currently third in NCAA Division III in yards per pass attempt (10.6), fifth in passing yards per game (322.7) and ninth in both pass-efficiency rating (182.00) and total passing yards (1,936).
The Johnnies (6-0, 5-0 MIAC) travel to face St. Olaf (5-1, 3-1 MIAC) for a 1 p.m. kickoff this Saturday, Oct. 26, in Northfield.
