COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Saint John's University is ranked No. 4 in both the latest D3football.com (Oct. 20) and American Football Coaches' Association (Oct. 21) polls for the fifth consecutive week.

Nine teams in the West region, including SJU, were ranked in D3football.com's top 25: Wisconsin-Whitewater (No. 3), Bethel (No. 9), Wartburg (No. 12), Wisconsin-Platteville (No. 16), Chapman (No. 17), St. Thomas (No. 18), Redlands (No. 23) and Linfield (No. 24). Three others received votes: Whitworth (40 points), Wisconsin-La Crosse (27) and Wisconsin-Oshkosh (23).

SJU erased a 14-0 deficit with 558 yards of offense in a 38-20 win over then-No. 11/13 St. Thomas last Saturday (Oct. 19) before a sold-out crowd of 19,508 at Allianz Field in St. Paul.

Senior quarterback Jackson Erdmann (Rosemount, Minn.) completed passes to nine different receivers and ended the day 32 of 47 passing for 451 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. SJU's defense forced a turnover on downs twice in the fourth quarter, including a huge stop on fourth-and-one on the Johnnies' 7-yard line.

The Johnnies (6-0, 5-0 MIAC) travel to face St. Olaf (5-1, 3-1 MIAC) for a 1 p.m. kickoff this Saturday, Oct. 26, in Northfield.
