MOORHEAD, Minn. - Saint John's hockey earned the weekend split at Concordia with a 4-2 win on Saturday, Jan. 19, in Moorhead.

Matt Colford (Champlin, Minn.) provided the heroics for SJU (8-8-3, 6-3-1 MIAC) thanks to his second goal of the game, his eighth of the season and 60th career point, with 1:26 remaining. Senior forward
Evan Okeley (Carmel, Ind.) won the puck in the right corner and fed Colford, who was all alone in the slot, for a beautiful one-timer.

Joe Chitwood (Carmel, Ind.) sealed the win for SJU with an empty-net goal, his 10th career tally, with 23.2 seconds left.
Colford opened the scoring for the Johnnies with his fifth power-play goal of the year with 4:12 remaining in the first period.
Tyler Bossert tied the game for CC (11-6-2, 7-2-1 MIAC) on a rebound goal with 1:36 left in the opening frame.
Okeley gave SJU a 2-1 lead with his fifth goal of the season, a backhander on a rebound, with eight minutes remaining, but the Cobbers' Beau Wilmer tied it back up 25 seconds later.

Andrew Lindgren (Minneapolis, Minn.) made 24 saves to improve to 6-4-2 (6-1-1 MIAC) on the year.
The Johnnies return from their bye week against No. 4/5 Augsburg at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud.
