Minnesota United Release
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The 2019 Saint John's-St. Thomas football game, scheduled for 1 p.m. on Oct. 19, will be held at Allianz Field in St. Paul, home of Major League Soccer's Minnesota United FC.

The club made the announcement Tuesday, Dec. 4, at a press conference at Allianz Field (

The $250-million, 19,400-seat stadium is scheduled to be completed in early 2019 and is located at the southeast corner of Snelling Avenue and University Avenue in St. Paul.
Since the game was originally scheduled to be held at UST's O'Shaughnessy Stadium in St. Paul, the Tommies will be the home team.
The Saint John's-St. Thomas matchup drew an announced crowd of 37,355 at the Minnesota Twins' Target Field in 2017. SJU defeated UST 40-20 in front of 16,922 fans earlier this fall (Oct. 13) in Collegeville.
The 2019 meeting will be the 89th in the series, which the Johnnies lead with a 52-35-1 record.
Approximately 1,000 student-section tickets will be made available for each school. Unlike the game at Target Field in 2017, the student tickets will be general admission. All tickets are expected to go on sale in late January. More information will be available next month.
