D3hockey.com Poll
COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – The Saint John's University hockey team was ranked No. 15 in the D3hockey.com poll released Monday, Nov. 6.
The Johnnies are off to their first 4-0 start since 2004-05, when SJU rattled off 11 straight wins en route to a 20-game unbeaten streak (18-0-2 record).
SJU received six votes, 20 from 15th-ranked Milwaukee School of Engineering (Wis.), in today's USCHO.com poll.
Sixteen different Johnnies recorded a point last weekend, including eight different goal scorers, as SJU posted wins over Wisconsin-River Falls (6-2) and Wisconsin-Stout (4-1).
The Johnnies play host to Bethel (0-4 overall) for their conference and home opener at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud. SJU takes the ice Tuesday ranked sixth in NCAA Division III in combined special teams (63.6 percent, 28-for-44), seventh on the penalty kill (91.3 percent, 21-for-23) and tied for eighth on the power play (33.3 percent, 7-for-21).
