ST. PAUL, Minn. – Saint John's swimming and diving won eight events in a 144-89 dual victory at Hamline on Friday, Jan. 13, in St. Paul.
Senior
Kenny Bergman (Overland Park, Kan./Shawnee Mission South) won the 50- and 100-yard freestyles, while senior
Jose Alvarez (North Bay Village, Fla./Belen Jesuit) won the 100-yard breaststroke and sophomore
Jacob Upton (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) touched the wall first in the 200-yard individual medley.
Junior
Josh Tomporowski (St. Cloud, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice) claimed first in both the 1- and 3-meter dives.
The Johnnies' 200-yard freestyle (

Sam Konsor, Bergman) and medley (Alvarez, Upton, Konsor, Heller) relays both took first place.
The Johnnies return to St. Paul for the St. Thomas Invitational at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14.
