ST. PETER, Minn. – Saint John's hockey settled for a 2-2 tie and a four-point weekend against Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday, Dec. 3, in St. Peter.
The Gusties won the three-round shootout, 1-0, Saturday night to earn the additional point in the conference standings.
Sophomore forward
Evan Okeley (Carmel, Ind.) gave SJU (6-4-2, 3-2-1 MIAC) a 2-1 lead 4:45 into the third period with a rebound goal, his fifth tally of the season. Sophomore defenseman

Drew Aspinwall tied the game at 2-2 for GAC (1-7-2, 0-5-1 MIAC) with 3:58 left in the third period.

Sean Lang (Apple Valley, Minn.) tied it at 1-1 with his 10th career goal, and third of the season, at the 13:13 mark of the first period. Lindberg and junior forward

Freshman goaltender
Andrew Lindgren (Minneapolis, Minn.) made 25 saves in the tie for SJU, which was out-shot 27-23 in the game. The visitors, however, posted a 13-10 edge in shots-on-goal after the second period.
The Johnnies wrap up the 2016 portion of their schedule with a 7 p.m. non-conference game at St. Scholastica next Saturday, Dec. 10, in Duluth.
