Final ResultsST. PAUL, Minn. – Saint John's track and field finished sixth out of 11 teams at the 2015 MIAC Outdoor Championships on Saturday, May 9, on the campus of Macalester in St. Paul.
St. Thomas won the team title with a total of 164.5 points, followed by Hamline (138.5), St. Olaf (118), Carleton (88), Concordia-Moorhead (83) and SJU (75).
Junior
Thomas Feichtinger (Omaha, Neb./Mount Michael Benedictine) won his third consecutive MIAC outdoor title in the 800 meters (1:54.12) by 0.06 of a second over Carleton's Donson Cook-Gallardo. He won the event indoors in 2014 and took second in March. Feichtinger is now a 10-time All-MIAC honoree: one in cross country, four in indoor track and five in outdoor track.
Sophomore
Raymond Twumasi (Coon Rapids, Minn.) won the conference title with a leap of 13.55 meters, in the triple jump. Classmate
Joe Koll (Winona, Minn./Cotter) followed in fifth (13.33 meters).
Sophomore
Ryan Bugler (Okinawa, Japan/Okinawa Christian School International) earned All-MIAC honors with a third-place finish (9:34.48) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, the Johnnies' first in the event since Patrick Lowder '10 claimed third in 2010. Classmate
Brandon Franta (La Crescent, Minn.) just missed scoring for SJU by 0.84 of a second to take ninth (9:55.26).
Like Feichtinger in the 800 meters, it was also a photo finish in the 4x100-meter relay, as SJU (

Ryan Kuester) finished fourth (42.59), only 0.33 of a second from the MIAC title.
The 4x400-meter relay (Tradewell, Lammi, Grieves, Feichtinger) finished second with a time of 3:18.55, 0:00.60 behind Hamline.
Senior
Yasin Williams (East Orange, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) took fifth in the 200-meter dash (22.55) and seventh in the 100-meter dash (11.37).
Freshman
Mitchell Peck (Alexandria, Minn.) claimed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles (56.64) and
Kyle Rossow (St. Louis Park, Minn./Hopkins) finished eighth in the 800 meters (1:55.75).
Senior
Jake Lammi (Marine on St. Croix, Minn./Stillwater Area) and sophomore
Zach Grieves (Le Sueur, Minn./Le Sueur-Henderson) crossed the finish line in seventh (50.11) and eighth (50.23), respectively, in the 400 meters.
The Johnnies return to action at Wisconsin-La Crosse's "Last Chance" Qualifier on Friday, May 15.
