ST. PETER, Minn. – Saint John's capitalized on 17 Gustavus turnovers in a 68-63 road win on Monday, Feb. 3, in St. Peter.
Down by six (59-53) with 5:51 remaining, Gustavus (12-8, 9-6 MIAC) went on a 9-0 run to gain its first lead since 9:59 remained in the first half (17-16). The Johnnies (10-9, 8-6 MIAC), however, scored nine of the game's final 10 points to earn the victory, the seventh in their last 26 trips to St. Peter.
GAC shot 65 percent (13-for-20) from the field in the first half but trailed SJU by three (35-32) thanks to 10 turnovers.
