NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Saint John's soccer team earned a hard-fought 1-1 tie at Carleton on Saturday, Oct. 5, in Northfield.

Junior Zane Heinselman (River Falls, Wis.) dribbled into the box and beat the Carleton goalkeeper straight on for his second goal of the season, 11th of his career, to give SJU (4-5-2, 2-2-1 MIAC) a 1-0 lead 16:51 into the match.

Jordan Cammarota tied the match at 1-1 for Carleton (7-1-3, 2-1-1 MIAC) in the 31st minute (30:52).

Sophomore Kevin Lebahn (New Hope, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's) made seven saves in the tie as the Knights out-shot the Johnnies 26-5 overall (8-1 on goal).

The Johnnies return home to host Wisconsin-Superior for a 4 p.m. non-conference match Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Haws Field in Collegeville.
