Huskies' Depth Overpowers SJU

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's tallied seven top-three finishes in a 141-78 loss to St. Cloud State on Friday, Dec. 7, in Collegeville.

Freshman Preston Marsh (Petersburg, Alaska) finished second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.02) and classmate Braden McCormack (Rosemount, Minn.) claimed second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:03.60).

Sophomore Logan Arnold (Moorhead, Minn.) took third in the 50-yard freestyle (22.27), while junior Connor Triggs (Edina, Minn./St. Thomas Academy) and freshman Paul Knaak (Forest Lake, Minn./Stillwater Area) went 2 (49.10)-3 (49.64) in the 100-yard freestyle.

The Johnnies' 200-yard freestyle (1:26.70; Arnold, Joe Duxbury, Marsh, Triggs) and 200-yard medley relays (1:38.00; Duxbury, Marsh, McCormack, Triggs) won their respective events.

SJU travels to take on St. Thomas for a 1 p.m. dual meet next Saturday, Dec. 15, in St. Paul.
