MOORHEAD, Minn. – Saint John's broke a scoreless tie with a pair of goals in the second half to post a 2-0 shutout of Concordia on Saturday, Oct. 29, in Moorhead.

Sophomore Joe Balder (Stillwater, Minn.) tallied what proved to be the game-winner, his second goal of the season, at the 61:58 mark of the second half.

Sophomore Michael Coborn (St. Cloud, Minn./Cathedral) padded the lead with his 10th goal of the season, and 30th point, with 4:18 remaining. Sophomore Elliott Olsen (Cedar, Minn./St. Francis) and freshman David Wee (Savage, Minn./Prior Lake) collected the assists for SJU (9-7, 4-6 MIAC).

Senior Mike Sikich (Apple Valley, Minn.) made seven saves to post his second shutout of the season and improve to 5-1 on the year.

The Johnnies return home to host Jamestown (N.D.), a recent late-week addition to the schedule, this Tuesday, Nov. 1. The match is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at George Durenberger Field in Collegeville.
