ST. PAUL, Minn. – Three second-half goals paced Hamline to a 4-1 win over Saint John's on Tuesday, Oct. 25, in St. Paul.
Midhat Mujic gave Hamline (4-11-2, 2-6-2 MIAC) a 1-0 lead with 3:37 left in the first half.
Michael Murphy extended the Pipers' lead to 3-0 with a pair of goals 8:01 apart in the 61st and 69th minutes, respectively.
Sophomore Michael Coborn (St. Cloud, Minn./Cathedral) put SJU (8-7, 3-6 MIAC) on the scoreboard with his ninth goal of the season. Sophomore Matt Carson (Waconia, Minn.) assisted on the scoring play.
Kamal Abda ended the scoring with a corner-kick goal with 47 seconds remaining.
Senior Mike Sikich (Apple Valley, Minn.) made four saves in the loss, his first of the season (4-1).
The Johnnies end their 2011 season at Concordia-Moorhead this Saturday, Oct. 29. The match is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Moorhead.
