Saint John's (7-5, 2-4 MIAC) brings its three-game winning streak to the field against St. Thomas (6-5, 3-3 MIAC) this Wednesday, Oct. 19. The match is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at George Durenberger Field in Collegeville.

A LOOK AT THE JOHNNIES: Saint John's defeated Bethel 4-3 in a back-and-fourth match last Wednesday in Collegeville. Sophomore Matt Carson (Waconia, Minn.) gave SJU an early 1-0 lead with his third goal of the season 6:36 into the game. After Bethel tied it up, freshman Lucas Wagner (Munich, Germany/Gymnasium Vaterstetten) gave the lead back to SJU with his second goal of the season. An own-goal tied the match at 2-2 with 24:03 remaining and Bethel scored again 43 seconds later to take its first lead of the match. Sophomore Michael Coborn (St. Cloud, Minn./Cathedral) tied the match at 3-3 with his eighth goal of the season with 12:02 remaining. Junior Andrew Johnson (St. Louis Park, Minn.) threaded a corner kick to freshman Zane Heinselman (River Falls, Wis.), who laced a header to the back of the net 8:01 later.
A LOOK AT THE TOMMIES: St. Thomas brings a two-match road losing streak to Collegeville Wednesday after dropping a 6-3 decision at St. Olaf (Oct. 8) and a 3-1 game at Macalester (Oct. 12). Sophomore MacAlister Enderson scored the only UST goal in the sixth minute of the game. The Tommies held on to the lead until they surrendered three goals in a 13:30 span early in the second half. Senior Mike Hutton leads UST in goals (6) and points (14). Sophomore Jace Leiferman has a 6-4-0 record with a 1.45 GAA and a .719 save percentage in net.
COBORN KEEPS CRUISING: Sophomore Michael Coborn currently leads the MIAC, or is tied for the conference-lead, in points (26) and assists (10). He is currently fifth in all of NCAA Division III in assists per game (0.83 apg.), is tied for sixth in total assists and tied for 28th in total points.
THE LAST MEETING: St. Thomas' Nick Rapisarda scored two second-half goals as the Tommies defeated Saint John's 2-0 last fall in St. Paul. Rapisarda scored his second and third goals of the season at the 60:40 and 74:26 mark, respectively. Matt Anderson '11 made seven saves, including five in the first half, in the loss for SJU. The Johnnies had a late first-half goal called back due to an offside call.
SERIES HISTORY: Since 1981, SJU owns a 16-11-4 record against the Tommies, including a 7-4-3 mark in Collegeville. UST, however, has won each of the past three meetings overall.
