COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – St. Cloud State defeated Saint John's 186-112 in the pool on Friday, Jan. 21, in Collegeville.

The Johnnies won six events in the loss.

Junior Josh Seaburg (Moorhead, Minn.), senior Michael Williams (Maple Grove, Minn.) and junior Jimmy Foley (Moorhead, Minn.) claimed first (1:47.91), second (1:47.97) and third (1:48.50), respectively, in the 200-yard freestyle. Williams won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:03.42.

Senior Andy Happe (Urbandale, Iowa/Dowling Catholic) won both the 50- (26:04) and 100-yard backstroke (55.67), while freshman Mando Moss (New Providence, Bahamas/St. Augustine's) claimed first in the 50-yard freestyle (22:05).

Junior Ty Nimens (Crookston, Minn.) won the 100-yard freestyle (48.99)

SJU and SCSU will face each other again Saturday, Jan. 22, at the St. Thomas Invitational. The meet, which begins at 1 p.m. in St. Paul, is scheduled to include the host Tommies and St. Olaf.
