COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Carleton scored three consecutive goals enroute to a 3-1 win over host Saint John's on Saturday, Oct. 2.

Miles Silbert and Tim Wills scored back-to-back goals in the first 18 minutes of the match to give Carleton (6-3-1, 4-1-1 MIAC) an early 2-0 lead. Ryan Cammarota increased the Knights' lead to 3-0 in the 57th minute. 

Freshman defender Joe Laue (St. Louis Park, Minn./Holy Angels) denied the shutout via his first career goal with less than four minutes remaining. Fellow freshman and high-school teammate, Ryan McMillan (Minneapolis, Minn./Holy Angels), took control of a deflected corner kick and fed it to Laue, who unleashed a shot to the back of the net. Sophomore Andrew Johnson (St. Louis Park, Minn.) was also credited with an assist.

Senior Matt Anderson (Eden Prairie, Minn.) made one save but left following Silbert's goal due to injury. Junior Mike Sikich (Apple Valley, Minn.) made four saves in relief.

The Johnnies (2-4-3, 1-2-2 MIAC) play host to Hamline next Saturday, Oct. 9. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m. at George Durenberger Field in Collegeville.
