COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's earned its first conference win of the season with a 1-0 decision over Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday, Sept. 26, in Collegeville.

Senior Eric Bell (Little Falls, Minn.) found the net off a rebound at the 70th minute. Freshman Ryan Fuchs (St. Michael, Minn./Rogers) chipped a shot off Gustie keeper Luke Strom where Bell was waiting on the uncontrolled save.

Senior Luke Nelson (Caledonia, Minn.) made eight saves to record his second shutout of the season and the seventh of his career.

The Johnnies (3-3-0, 1-2-0 MIAC) travels to play the University of Mary this Sunday, Sept. 27. The match is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Bismarck, N.D.
