ST. PAUL, Minn. – Top-ranked St. Thomas defeated Saint John's 82-47 on Wednesday, Feb. 18 in St. Paul. 

The Johnnies were down 27-24 with 5:13 left in the first half before the Tommies ended the first half on an 8-0 run and began the first half on another 8-0 run. UST ended the contest's final six minutes with a 20-5 run.

Sophomore post Aaron Burtzel (Cold Spring, Minn./Rocori) led SJU (13-11, 11-8 MIAC) with 10 points, while senior wing Cole Isetts (Red Wing, Minn.) added seven points and six rebounds.
Joe Scott led UST (24-0, 19-0 MIAC) with 18 points.

The Tommies forced 20 turnovers while committing 11, but outscored the Johnnies 30-9 off the mishaps.

SJU hosts Gustavus Adolphus in the regular-season finale this Saturday, Feb. 21. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Sexton Arena in Collegeville.
