BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Saint John's and St. Thomas played to a 1-1 tie in the final non-conference game of the 2009 MIAC Showcase on Sunday, Nov. 1.

Nick Roscoe (Eau Claire, Wis.) assisted on the scoring play for SJU (1-0-1, 0-0-0 MIAC).
The Tommies' Rob Johnson tied the game with a power-play goal at the 17:08 mark of the third.
Senior
Stu Van Ess (Kewaskum, Wis.) made a career-high 34 saves in net.
SJU had a goal waved off with 14:13 left in the third period and had three breakaway chances thwarted by UST's Joe Schraeder, two by Rooney, including a shorthanded opportunity with five and a half minutes left in the contest.
The Johnnies travel to face No. 13 St. Scholastica on Friday, Nov. 6. The game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. in Duluth.
