NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Saint John's University fell to Carleton 3-0 on Saturday, Oct. 3, in Northfield.
The Knights (7-3, 5-1 MIAC) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a goal from Ross Hamilton seven minutes into the match.
Carleton then added goals from Miles Silbert and Taylor Ward at the 72- and 81-minute marks, respectively.
Senior goalkeeper Luke Nelson (Caledonia, Minn.) made 11 saves in the loss for SJU (4-5, 1-3 MIAC).
Carleton outshot the Johnnies 26-7 in the match, including a 14-5 edge on goal. The Knights also had 13 corner kicks to SJU's two.
The Johnnies return to action this Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Hamline. The match is scheduled for 4 p.m. in St. Paul.
