COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's and Bethel battled to a 1-1 tie on Friday, Oct. 16, in Collegeville.

Junior Colin Hall (Maple Grove, Minn.) blasted a shot off the right post with three seconds remaining in the final overtime.

Following a scoreless first half, Bethel (8-4-2, 4-2-2 MIAC) took a 1-0 lead on a goal from Gregory LeVere 8:42 into the second frame.

The Johnnies tied the match on a breakaway goal from freshman Shane Thuleen (Eden Prairie, Minn.) at the 72:51 mark of the second half. Senior Paul Keane (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) assisted on the play.

Senior Luke Nelson (Caledonia, Minn.) made nine saves for SJU (5-6-2, 1-4-1 MIAC).

The tie was the 50th of SJU head coach Pat Haws' career (341-135-50 career record).

SJU returns to action next Wednesday, Oct. 21, against St. Thomas. The match is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at George Durenberger Field in Collegeville.
