ST. PETER, Minn. – Gustavus Adolphus shot 50 percent from the field in the second-half to erase a five-point halftime deficit and defeat Saint John's 68-62 Monday, Jan. 19 in St. Peter.

Aaron Burtzel (Cold Spring, Minn./Rocori) led the Johnnies (7-8, 5-5 MIAC) with 16 points and added seven rebounds. Freshman wing
Andrew Latzke (Shorewood, Minn./Minnetonka) added 13 points and eight rebounds, while freshman
Aaron Barmore (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) posted 10 rebounds on the night.
Ryan McPartland led the Gusties (8-6, 7-2 MIAC) with 16 points and nine rebounds.
SJU, which out-rebounded the Gusties 44-33 in the game, was just six of 23 from three-point range (26.1 percent). The Johnnies took a five-point lead into half time (33-28) and led by as many as 12 points with just over 6.5 minutes left in the first half. SJU missed its last five shots in the game's final 2:56 and ended the contest 36.8 percent from the field (21-57).
The Johnnies play host to Bethel for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off Wednesday, Jan. 21 at Sexton Arena in Collegeville.
