MOORHEAD, Minn. – Saint John's scored the final two goals via its Stillwater connection to defeat Wis.-Superior 2-1 in physical soccer match Saturday, Sept. 6 in Moorhead. The Yellowjackets recorded 27 fouls to the Johnnies' 11 in the match.

Thomas Shuldeisz gave Wis.-Superior a 1-0 lead 26:39 into the match. The lead didn't last long however, as senior midfielder Levi Lowell (Stillwater, Minn.) tied the game in the 37th minute on a cross from senior midfielder Brian Horst (Stillwater, Minn.). Senior forward Kellen Groves (Stillwater, Minn.) then scored the game-winner at the 62:11 mark on a penalty kick.

Junior goalkeeper Luke Nelson (Caledonia, Minn.) made one save to improve his record to 3-0 on the young season.

SJU (3-0, 0-0 MIAC) will take on St. Scholastica at noon Sunday, Sept. 7 in Moorhead.
