NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Saint John's scored two goals in the first seven minutes of the match and added another in the 28th minute to defeat St. Olaf 3-0 Saturday, Sept. 27 in Northfield.

Senior midfielder Brian Horst (Stillwater, Minn.) gave the Johnnies an early 1-0 lead 2:28 into the match on a pass from senior midfielder Levi Lowell (Stillwater, Minn.). Four minutes later, sophomore defender Austin Neuburger (Freehold, N.J./Allentown) scored on a header off a corner kick by Lowell. SJU ended the scoring with another header off a corner kick by senior forward Tyler Kodet (Rochester, Minn./Lourdes) at 28:02. Horst assisted on the scoring play for SJU.

Junior Luke Nelson (Caledonia, Minn.) made five saves to record his third shutout of the season and improve his record to 5-3 on the year.

SJU (5-4, 1-3 MIAC) hosts Central of Iowa Sunday, Sept. 28. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Durenberger Field in Collegeville.
