ST. PAUL, Minn. – St. Thomas' Reid Moser-Bleil's first collegiate goal was the game-winner 4:40 into overtime as the host Tommies edged Saint John's in the conference opener for both teams Wednesday, Sept. 10.
UST (4-0 overall, 1-0 MIAC) took an early 1-0 lead in the 15th minute on Kyle Mader's header off a rebound.
Senior Levi Lowell (Stillwater, Minn.) tied the game at 1-1 in the 87th minute on a header from fellow senior Brian Horst (Stillwater, Minn.).
The match was SJU head coach Pat Haws' 500th of his 31-year career.
The Johnnies (4-1, 0-1 MIAC) host nationally-ranked Carleton this Sunday, Sept. 14. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at Durenberger Field in Collegeville.
