Saint John’s sophomore swimmer Kenny Bergman (Overland Park, Kan./Shawnee Mission South) earned a pair of conference titles as SJU finished fourth out of eight teams at the 2015 MIAC Championships Feb. 19-21.

He won the MIAC title in the 100-yard freestyle, SJU’s 16th in the event since 1976, with a time of 45.76 seconds and was a member of the Johnnies’ 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished first with an NCAA provisional-qualifying time of 3:04.46.

Bergman missed All-MIAC distinction (top three individually) by 0.28 of a second to finish fourth in the 200-yard freestyle Friday night and claimed fifth in the 50-yard freestyle Thursday evening.
