Saint John’s senior post Jacob Peterson (Golden Valley, Minn./Hopkins) averaged 9.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 68.8 percent (11-for-16) over his last three contests.
Peterson came up big to lead SJU with his first collegiate double-double, 14 points and 12 rebounds, off the bench in the 74-61 win over Bethel Feb. 7. The victory boosted SJU to third in the MIAC standings.
He currently leads the team in shooting percentage (.613) and is second in rebounding (5.0 rpg.).
The Johnnies (11-9, 9-6 MIAC) look to get back on track at Saint Mary’s on Wednesday, Feb. 11. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. in Winona.
