Saint John’s senior Dennis Granath (Bandhagen, Sweden/Farsta Gymnasium) ended his collegiate career with a three-under par 68, the best individual score of the day, to finish tied for 10th with a four-day total of 292 (+7) to earn his third All-America honor as the third-ranked Johnnies shot the day's second-best score to finish sixth out of 41 teams at the 2013 NCAA Division III Championship on May 17 at The Raven G.C. (par 71) in Destin, Fla.
 
No. 14 Texas-Tyler (+27) shot a five-over par 289 to win the national title by seven shots over No. 11 Transylvania (Ky., +34). No. 2 Methodist (N.C.) claimed third (+48), followed by No. 10 Emory (Ga., +51), No. 12 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Calif., +54) and SJU (+59).
 
SJU has now finished no lower than eighth with two national titles (2007 and 2008) in each of its last six national-tournament appearances.

Earlier in the week, Granath was named a Golf Coaches' Association of America (GCAA) All-America Scholar for the second consecutive season and received his third All-Region honor at the GCAA Awards Banquet May 14. He is a management major with a 3.40 GPA and ends his golf career with a 74.6 stroke average in 87 career rounds, 23 of which were at par or better (26.4 percent).
