Saint John’s junior Ryan Arne (Orono, Minn.) won the 157-pound title at the NCAA West Regional March 2 with the Johnnies’ most impressive performance of the day. He sandwiched a pair of major decisions (15-5 and 14-5) with two technical falls, ending the day with a 17-1 second-period win over Concordia-Moorhead's Kevin Fynboh.

Arne is now 9-4 on the year and joins five other Johnnies at the NCAA Division III Championships, which are scheduled for March 15-16 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa: seniors Mitch Hagen (184 lbs.) and Chris Stevermer (149 lbs.); juniors John Scepaniak (Hwt.) and Nick Schuler (165 lbs.); and sophomore Ryan Michaelis (197 lbs.).
