Saint John's junior Tommy Koehler (Eden Prairie, Minn.) fired a hole-in-one on the par-3 No. 16 (par 3, 144 yards) in the final round of the Wisconsin-Eau Claire Invitational Sept. 24 at Eau Claire C.C. The hole-in-one is the first for an SJU golfer, during competition, in the 20-year tenure of head coach Bob Alpers.

Koehler led SJU with a two-day total of 153 (+11) to tie for fifth out of 80 golfers, his first varsity tournament, as the Johnnies tied for third out of 15 teams (+53, 621).

SJU returns to the links at the annual Twin Cities Classic, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus, this Saturday-Monday, Sept. 29-Oct. 1. Saturday's round will be held at Elk River C.C., followed by the Links at Northfork in Ramsey on Sunday and Wayzata C.C. on Monday.
