Saint John’s senior diver Wes Schlichting (Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice) was named the MIAC Men's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week Nov. 21 after claiming two of the Johnnies' 10 wins in a dual meet at Gustavus Adolphus last Saturday. He won the 1-meter dive with a score of 262.20 and the 3-meter dive with a mark of 285.10.

A two-time All-MIAC honoree and two-time national meet participant, Schlichting led all MIAC divers for the second consecutive season at the NCAA Division III Championships with a 14th-place finish out of 22 divers in the 3-meter dive (435.35) last March.

SJU returns to action in two weeks at the Wisconsin-River Falls Invitational. The meet is scheduled for Friday-Saturday, Dec. 2-3, at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis.
