Saint John's University senior golf Alex Klehr (Mankato, Minn./West) led the nationally-ranked Johnnies with an even-par 144 to finish third overall at the 2011 Augsburg Invitational last weekend. He followed his opening-round total of 71 (-1) with a 73 (+2) as the Johnnies pulled away from their three-shot lead to win the tournament by 12 strokes.

Saint John's returns to action this Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 17-18, by hosting the annual SJU Fall Invitational. Saturday's opening round is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Greystone G.C. in Sauk Centre, followed by an 8:30 a.m. tee-time Sunday at Blackberry Ridge G.C. in Sartell.

SJU has finished second or better at its Fall Invitational each of the past 14 seasons, including 12 victories. The Johnnies worst finish at their own fall tournament was the first season; a fourth-place finish in 1996.
