AFCA Poll – Week 5
WACO, Texas – Saint John's University slipped seven spots to No. 11 in today's (Monday, Oct. 6) American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top 25 poll, presented by Hudl.
Seven teams in NCAA Region 6 were ranked in the top 25, all in the top 17: Wisconsin-La Crosse (No. 4), Wisconsin-Platteville (No. 7), Bethel (No. 8), SJU (No. 11), Wisconsin-Whitewater (No. 12), Wisconsin-Oshkosh (No. 14) and Wisconsin-River Falls (No. 17). Linfield (48), Lewis & Clark (12), Cal Lutheran (4), Wisconsin-Stout (4), Wisconsin-Eau Claire (2) and Wisconsin-Stevens Point (1) received votes.
SJU fell nine spots to No. 13 in yesterday's (Oct. 5) D3football.com Top 25 poll.
The Johnnies (3-1, 2-1 MIAC) host Macalester (2-2, 1-2 MIAC) – the first meeting between the two programs on the football field since 2001 – at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, in Clemens Stadium.
