RIO PIEDRAS, Puerto Rico – Saint John's ended its spring break trip with a 5-4 victory over the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras on Thursday, March 4.

Senior Dutch Hansen (Dawson, Minn./Dawson-Boyd), sophomore Ian Hansen (Dawson, Minn./Dawson-Boyd) and junior Elliott Elm (Eagan, Minn./Holy Angels) recorded wins at Nos. 1-3 singles. Sophomore John Burns (Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo) earned a win at No. 6 singles and later teamed up with senior Tyler McKay (Rochester, Minn./John Marshall) to post a victory at No. 3 doubles.

The Johnnies (4-4, 0-2 MIAC) return to action Saturday, March 13, at Saint Mary's. SJU is scheduled to play the host Cardinals at noon, followed by a match with Ripon (Wis.) at 3 p.m. in Winona.
