Community Outreach: SJU Hockey Student-Athletes Read to Local Children

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – February is "I Love to Read" month and the Saint John’s hockey team is doing its part to promote it. Five SJU student-athletes took some time off the ice Monday, Feb. 1, to visit Madison Elementary School in St. Cloud and read to the children. Each read a story aloud to two different classes at the school.
On Monday, Feb. 8, members of the team will visit Kennedy Elementary in St. Joseph and Sts. Peter, Paul and Michael School in St. Cloud.
The Johnnies return to the ice tonight

against No. 10 Hamline. The puck is scheduled to drop at 7 p.m. at the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud. The Johnnies then travel to face the Pipers for a return matchup at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Drake Arena in St. Paul.
