COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Saint John's University sophomore wing Chris Schwartz (Sioux Falls, S.D./Lincoln) was named the MIAC Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week Monday, January 4. 

Schwartz scored a career-high 30 points in the Johnnies' 77-67 win over Saint Mary's on Saturday, January 3. The win extended Saint John's winning streak to six games since starting the season 0-3. Schwartz was 10 of 19 from the field and nailed six three-pointers in the contest. Schwartz currently leads the MIAC with 31 three-point field goals and is third in scoring (19.9 ppg).

The Johnnies (6-3, 4-0 MIAC) play host to St. Olaf for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off tonight at Sexton Arena in Collegeville.
