Schoolmeesters Named MIAC Golf Athlete of the Week

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - Saint John's University senior Joe Schoolmeesters (Litchfield, Minn.) was named the MIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for the ninth time in his career after leading the Johnnies to their fourth MIAC Men’s Golf Championship in the last five years on Monday, Oct. 6.
Schoolmeesters claimed medalist honors for the second time in his career with a three-day total of 218 (+2). Schoolmeesters led all individuals as a sophomore at the 2006 MIAC Championship. Saint John's finished with a three-day team total of 889 (+25).
The Johnnies return to action at the Gordin Collegiate Classic Oct. 12-13 in Fredericksburg, Va.
