Russell Gliadon (Fridley, Minn.) was named the MIAC Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts in the 14-9 loss at Bethel last
Saturday.
Gliadon averaged 45.0 yards on four punts, including a long of 61 yards. Two of Gliadon's punts were booted inside Bethel's 20-yard line, while another barely rolled into the end zone for a touchback. Gliadon also connected on a 29-yard field goal, his only attempt of the game, which cut Bethel's lead to 7-3 with 2:51 remaining in the second quarter.
The Johnnies (3-2, 1-2 MIAC) host Hamline as part of Family Weekend this Saturday, Oct. 11. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Clemens Stadium in Collegeville.
