COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's University senior midfielder Cam Christensen (Bismarck, N.D./St. Mary's) and senior defender Jason Daly (Eden Prairie, Minn.) were named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Five men's soccer first team on Thursday, Oct. 30. The honor is the third consecutive for Daly and second consecutive for Christensen.
Christensen has played with an injured left knee in 14 games this season and tallied two assists for the Johnnies. An Academic All-District second team selection a year ago, Christensen is a computer science major with a 3.95 GPA.
A two-time team captain, Daly was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic
All-District Five first team in 2006 and to the second team last season. A double major in mathematics and physics with a 3.88 GPA, Daly has started 14 games for SJU and tallied one assist.
Christensen and Daly end their respective careers as Saint John's plays Concordia-Moorhead at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at Durenberger Field in Collegeville. Christensen and Daly have combined for 102 games played and 15 career points (3g/9a).
